In the Kobe City Museum of Literature, there is a permanent exhibition called “Minato Kobe’s Literature Works.” Continually growing as an international harbor metropolis, the city has captivated many literary scholars from at home and outside as early as the Meiji period. This exhibition is dedicated to the people connected to Kobe through their literary works, as well as to those who chose to work in the city during the Meiji, Taisei, Showa and Heisei periods. There are over 1,000 works on display for visitors to appreciate. Literary workshops and other exhibitions are also held from time to time.
