In 1992, the Austrian Embassy, supported by the Austrian Trade Representative, established a museum to educate visitors about Austrian culture and history. Housed in a cylindrical building, said to reflect the Viennese museum style, is a portrait of the Holy Empress Maria, with Theresia and Rococo-style costumes exhibited alongside, evoking memories of imperial court culture. The museum also sheds light on the great Austrian-born classical composer Mozart, telling us more about his life and times in the 18th century. Further attractions include a replica of a fortepiano he used for compositions, plus handwritten scores and letters kindly donated by the Mozart Museum in Salzburg.
