On the mountain side of Shin-Kobe Station is a waterfall that forms the source of Kobe water, located in the midstream of the Ikitagawa River, a current running in Kobe City. Selected as one of Japan's best 100 waterfalls, Nunobiki Falls consists of four falls: Ontaki, Mentaki, Meotodaki and Tsutsumigadaki. Ontaki is especially famous, with a majestic height of 43m. It is a popular destination for taking a stroll on the pathways in summer and fall, to see fresh greenery and leaves changing colors.
