This property is the former Chinese Consulate used in 1940 when the Chinese politician Wang Chao-ming established a Japanese-friendly in Nanjing. Unique among the numerous foreign houses open to the public, it features an oriental atmosphere, with all interior fittings and artwork from China, which collectively reveal an accurate inside story of the time. Highlights include a copper bowl from the Western Zhou era, Celadon porcelain from the Song Dynasty and various other pottery, plus a salon set featuring fine rosewood decoration as part of the luxurious must-see decor.
