This summit observatory on Mount Rokko was designed by the architect Hiroshi Sanbuichi; recipient of numerous awards including the Japan Architecture Grand Prize and a celebrated figure both at home and abroad. The observation platform, which centers on the concept of "a mighty tree standing atop Mount Rokko", is the perfect way to experience the seasons from Mt. Rokko, with a cool breeze experience in summer paving the way for winter ice observation. The evening must-see is an epic LED light production, encompassing over 10 million colors in a cypress frame and featuring images of branches and leaves covering the whole building. After dark, treat your eyes to the so-called "10-million-dollar night view", which is equally unmissable.
