The thirteen-storied pagoda towering at the foot of the Kiyomori-bashi Bridge is called the Kiyomori-zuka Tomb (a prefecturally-designated cultural property). Once believed to be the tombstone of Taira-no-Kiyomori, it was later discovered that it was not a tomb but rather a memorial column. Alongside it is the Biwa-zuka Pagoda, a Biwa (Japanese lute)-shaped ancient tomb said to belong to Taira-no-Tsunemasa, a master player of the instrument. Both of them were moved to their current location when the municipal electric railway was expanded.
