Anyone can try to bag themselves a rainbow (or child) trout at this casual fishing spot. Fishing and cooking come together, meanwhile, at 'Masu no Chaya' ('Trout Tea Room'); situated in the park and offering a range of deep-fried and salt-grilled fish dishes to savor. Even beginners can handle the dumpling-like kneaded bait without a problem, for an experience that draws together couples on dates with memories reminiscent of childhood, as well as families keen to face their first fishing test and hungry to catch and eat the spoils. A catch by-hand event is held each summer.
