The England (former Hodesekku) House, featuring a pavilion designed by a British engineer in the colonial style with a beautiful balcony, has been preserved in its original 1909 form. Enlisting the Japan Sherlock Holmes Club for help, the namesake room of the detective on the second floor has been faithfully reproduced true to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's tales. Visitors can dress as the famous and walk around the house to investigate (free of charge). Behind the building lies a beautiful English garden, themed into four sections and featuring a "Tree of Confession". The chance to snap pictures with the Alice in Wonderland backdrop is also a big draw. Finally, evenings see the in-house nostalgic English-style bar, King of Kings, open for business.
