Closed for essential maintenance work until May 2019. Exhibits center on the locally born Western-style artist Ryohei Koiso, most of whose works were inspired by Kobe. The facility also showcases around 3,000 oil paintings, sketches and prints, etc. and features a high-definition video gallery to explain the works. It's a venue to enjoy the art of Koiso to your heart's content. Meanwhile, the museum courtyard plays host the studio Koiso used for forty years, now relocated and restored.
