One day, at a sushi restaurant in Kobe. There was an "incident" in which you could get kue, which is said to be a phantom fish, large toro, salmon roe, and sake served in a wine glass for 2,000 yen including tax.

I can't believe this is 2,000 yen...... Is it really good!?
To reveal the seeds, a town bar event was held on October 12th at Toa West (the west area of Toa Road in Motomachi)

Even so, don't you think it's rare to have a town bar event in the middle of Kobe? There was the earnest desire of the instigators.
Taste "a little bit of everything" at a city bar
A town bar is a gourmet event aimed at regional revitalization, in which participants "ladder" multiple restaurants in the area.
At VAMOS Toa West, you will first purchase a can badge to express your participation and receive a map with a list of participating stores.

The bar menu is offered for 1,000~2,000 yen for "1 drink + our signature". The menu is listed on the map, so you can visit the restaurants you are interested in.
There were 27 participating stores, but these were the four stores that I completely left to my own taste.

Except for the first Uraoregyo, all the restaurants I knew about were new to him. Speaking of Toa West, I had an image of it as a fashion and miscellaneous goods area, so I wonder if there are so many restaurants! I was surprised.

The third sushi restaurant at the beginning. The interior of the store is also authentic, betraying the image of a city bar in a good way.

Also, as someone who loves various cultures around the world, discovering the fourth ethnic izakaya will be a plus in my life......

Some of them have a queue to enter the store. But it's not hot or cold, it's just the right season, and it doesn't bother me.

Kobe City is serious about × business operator in the nighttime economy!
This was my first attempt at "VAMOS! TORWEST Nomini Ikou". In February of this year, we held a town bar called "VAMOS Ninomiya" in the Ninomiya area and it was well received, so let's try it at Toa West as well! It seems that it has become.
We spoke with Junya Kamikawaji, who runs "Kobe Gyoza Oregyo" with stores in Toa West and Ninomiya, and served as the representative of VAMOS Toa West this time.

"At the last time in Ninomiya, it was an opportunity for customers to get to know various stores, which led to their next visit after the event.
I see. For both customers and the store, the town bar is a WIN-WIN initiative. Even so, whether it's Toa West or Ninomiya, it's very close to Sannomiya, so even if you don't have an event like this, you won't have to have customers.
"No, I've been running a store in Toa West since 2014, and I feel that fewer people are walking than I did back then. Today is an event, so there is a lot of people coming and going, but in the past, it was this crowded on ordinary Saturdays and Sundays."
After all, it seems that the impact of the corona disaster was not small, and compared to 10 years ago, it seems that the feeling that the city is not exciting enough is earnest.
That's why we are trying to make people enjoy "walking around the city" and "playing at night" through events and projects like this.

In fact, Kobe City also supports the business operators of such a gimmick. When we created a subsidy system called "Night Time Economy Promotion Project Subsidy" and solicited 22 applications, 15 of which were adopted.
This VAMOS Toa West is one of them. Mr. Kamikawaji also showed a relieved expression, saying, "The subsidy was very helpful in making maps and badges."

その中でもちょっと目を引くのが、"Kobe BAR ×Worcestershire Sauce Project"です。企画者は、創業100年を超えるオリバーソース株式会社。
A collaboration between a bar and Worcestershire sauce? I can't imagine it at all. What kind of project is it in the first place?
Worcestershire sauce is essential for Western food. Normally, it is not made by lying down, but Oliver Sauce has developed Worcestershire sauce "Climax" that has been aged for three years.

In this project, the 15 bars we partner with will offer cocktails or bar food with their special Worcestershire sauce.
Still, if Worcestershire Sauce collaborates, don't you think it's a restaurant that usually handles food? Why is it a bar that mainly serves alcohol?
If you ask Tatsuhiko Doman, the representative of Oliver Sauce, what kind of customer base will respond to "aging"? When he thought about it, he came up with the bar from the image of aging wine and whiskey.
Therefore, he was conscious of the design of the bottle of the product like alcohol, and when he learned that Kobe was focusing on the nighttime economy, he approached the bar for a collaboration.
Kobe, which has been adopting Western food since the opening of the port, has many sauce makers. "Just as bars are said to be Kobe's culture, I want Worcestershire sauce to be one of Kobe's cultures," is a thoughtful project of Mr. Doman.
The project has already started and is being held until February next year (as soon as the source runs out).
I immediately visited some of the affiliated bars.

"Our signature menu is Moscoe Mule and Bloody Mary, so it's a project that goes well with us."
Bloody Mary is a cocktail of tomato juice and vodka. Originally, I often added sauce to recipes, but this time I used aged sauce instead of the usual sauce.

"It's an opportunity to have a conversation with the audience, and it's an interesting project."
Bloody Caesar is made with tomato juice containing clam extract. When you drink it, you can still feel the richness and depth unique to aged sauce. It's alcohol, but it feels like drinking cold soup at a restaurant.

By the way, the anime pattern on the glass and the figure placed on the counter are unique. In fact, this store seems to be a subculture bar.
As with town bars, being able to learn about shops you didn't know about is also a big attraction of these projects.
