Maiko Marine Promenade , Akashi Kaikyo Bridge
Akashi Kaikyo Bridge, which connects Kobe and Awaji Island, is the world’s second largest suspension bridge at 3,911 meters long and with main towers of 298 meters in height. It is an outstanding landmark visible to air travelers overflying the area and attracts a lot of visitors.
On the pier on the Kobe side of the bridge, at a height of 47 meters over the water and extending 150 meters onto the shore, is the Maiko Marine Promenade, a 317 meters-long viewing circuit over the Akashi Strait.
