Zuihoji Park
The large number of pines and maples in Zuihoji Park make this one of the finest places in Kansai for late autumn foliage. It is also known as “The Garden for Passing the Day,” after the Taiko (imperial adviser) Toyotomi Hideyoshi remarked that “No matter how many times you gaze upon it, it is impossible to tire of the view.”
In the park, you may find Hideyoshi’s favorite stone go gameboard, as well as the main gate of old Zuihoji temple, moved here from Fushimi Castle in Kyoto.
Selected by Kobe City as one of the top 50 flower spots, stunning cherry blossoms can also be seen in the spring.
