Kobe Fashion Museum 

Opened in 1997 as the first public art museum in Japan with a focus on fashion (people’s basic needs).

“Special exhibitions” present a wide range of artworks, while “Collection exhibitions” consist of artefacts of fashion history from the Rococo period to the modern era (Collection exhibitions are not on permanent display).

Also recommended is the Library, which holds some 40,000 titles.
