Kobe Kitano Museum
The Kobe Kitano Museum is an Ijinkan built in 1898 on a stone wall above Kitano-dori. After the war, it served as the staff quarters for the U.S. Consulate until 1978, when it was opened to the public as the “White House”, displaying glass art from the Art Nouveau period. It launched as the Kobe Kitano Museum in November 1996. This is the place to learn more about the culture and history of the Kitano Ijinkan district, as well as an alluring art gallery.
