Kitano Foreigner’s Association
The glamor of high society living during the days of Kobe Port’s opening to the world is recreated here at the Kitano Foreigner’s Association . It was also known as “Lion House Building No. 3” due to the lion statue at the entrance.
There are many pieces of interest inside, such as a wooden fireplace that was used in an aristocratic residence in pre-revolutionary France, a music room displaying the Gregorian chant sheet music from the Renaissance era, and an old kitchen dating from the days of wood and charcoal complete with copper pots and ladles.
