Formed from the slopes of Mount Tekkai, which offers views as far as Awaji Island, and Mount Hachibuse, this is a scenic spot famous as a battleground of the Genpei War, and today as a prime destination for cherry blossom viewing. Since the park opened, a total of roughly 3200 black pine and Yoshino cherry trees have been planted, helping this area become one of Kobe's must-visit spots.Tourist facilities include the Sumaura Sancho Yuen amusement park and a sea fishing park on the adjacent coast. This location also marks the starting point of the Rokko longitudinal course and offers a range of hiking options as well.
