Go back in time to the late 19th century when you visit Kobe Kitano Iijinkan. Home to over 300 houses originally, and with twenty still available today for public viewing, this area has long been recognized for its historical and cultural value. Among the houses open to the public is the Yamate 8-Bankan. Its row of trapezoid-shaped bay windows give an impressive appearance to the house itself, and the works of famous sculptors including Rodin, Bourdelle and Bernard are also on display.
