The Philatelic Culture Museum features a permanent exhibition showcasing a host of standard and commemorative stamps covering the century and a half since the postal service was established to the present day. Included in the selection is a range of unique items, including the so-called Ryubun stamp; the first ever to be issued in Japan, as well as actual tools used during the Meiji Era postal service. Escape into a captivating world of stamps and postal culture, and be sure not to miss the special limited-term exhibitions inside the museum, set in an environment akin to an Edo-period earthen-walled warehouse.
